Hello everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend! Today, I restyled a skirt I wore for labor day last year (http://claire-wear.com/laborday). Floral prints are all over the runway for Spring 2017, so I pulled it out of my closet to wear, but it is still pretty cold in Michigan. Typically for transitioning season outfits, I pull together pieces from both seasons. For this look, I pulled Spring and Winter clothing together to create an “almost Spring” style. The skirt is clearly a Spring/Summer fashion, so I paired it with a knit blue J.Crew sweater instead of a light colored or flowy top. It is important to stay away from wearing a lot of summer white during the Winter. To keep it looking in season and to stay warmer, I wore jean fabric booties from Franco Sarto. When styling Spring clothing, it helps to not pair it with a winter coat. Instead of fur or leather, I choose a suede coat to contrast all of the fabrics I was wearing. Lastly, a bigger purse is always more appropriate for casual day wear, so I am wearing a blue Liebeskind tote. Love, Claire.
