Hello! My trip to Upstate New York was beautiful. All of the leaves were colored and Lake Ontario was a bright blue. I got to visit Fort Drum, the Thousand Islands, and Sacket’s Harbor, where I had a life changing moment that I will write about next post:) During the Autumn season, and especially when you are near water, the weather changes a lot throughout the day. I like to stay warm and cool by layering my outfits. I never want to look like a pile of clothing walking down the street, so I follow a few guidelines when layering.
- Always start with the lightest layer first
- Choose a color palette
- Layer with pieces that are easy to remove and put back on
- Layer with pieces that are different lengths and textures

As you can see above, I started my outfit with a plain black Cynthia Rowley tank top. Cynthia Rowley’s tanks are the best because they are super form fitting, stretchy, and have comfortable fabric. My next layer was a maroon sweater. Then, a light weight black H&M long blazer jacket. Lastly, I added a Maroon Burberry scarf. The jackets and scarf were easy to remove whenever I got warm and easy to put back on if it got cold. The shoes are AMAZING! Look at the gem heel on these velvet maroon Anne Kleins! Super stylish and very Miu Miu like! I wore this look with Bullhead jeans. I really like the color palette because it alternates layers between black and maroon. I also was obsessed with the bag I am carrying with this outfit. It looks just like a $5,500 Louis Vuitton Petite Malle bag when in reality it is from http://www.sammydress.com/product3023299.html. Leave a comment and let’s chat:) Love, Claire.
