Prabal Gurung, Ohio, and Art Nouveau?

Yesterday, I took a lovely mini road trip to see Alphonse Mucha: Master of Art Nouveau. If you are unfamiliar with the artist or art nouveau, pop over to this link by the Dayton Daily News:–theater/who-was-alphonse-mucha/HlassLdEe1KL9B5x3Kof7M/. Dayton, Ohio is the only Midwest location for this exhibit! You heard that right; even Chicago will not have this on view anywhere. Though Dayton is three hours from me, I do not know when I will be able to go to Prague to the Mucha Museum; so, I was off on a cloudy Sunday at 8 am to see this exhibit. It was gorgeous! The exhibit featured more work of his than I imagined and I learned exactly how lithographs are made. Photography was not permitted, but I took some photos of other notable art in the museum. The museum was small, but boasted pieces by: Warhol, Hopper, Monet and Chihuly. On top of the museum, I walked around in a famous designer as well. My top is Prabal Gurung and it is perfect for the holiday season.  The pleated bell sleeves bounced around all day and the shift silhouette made the shirt very comfy. I really wanted the shirt to be the main event of my outfit which is why I only added a Louis Vuitton necklace, jeans, Stuart Weitzman booties, a nude coat and a black Balenciaga city bag. The feeling of muted pastels and flowers followed me around all day after viewing his work. If you get the opportunity to go, I would highly recommend it. The admission was only $14. Love, Claire.
